MEAT SAUCE: Brown hamburger, drain the fat, mix in garlic, basil, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and paste, simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, set aside.
LASAGNA NOODLES: Prepare/boil lasagna noodles according to package directions, set aside.
CHEESE SAUCE: In a sauce pan, combine ricotta and parmesan cheese, parsley, eggs, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper over low heat until cheese is melted, set aside.
CHEESE TOPPING: Combine shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, set aside.
In a 9 x 13 baking dish, spread a little sauce on the bottom to prevent sticking. Layer noodles, meat sauce, cheese sauce and cheese topping, in that order. Repeat layers, ending with cheese topping. Bake at 350 degrees until bubbly. Let rest for 10 minutes.
