French Toast Casserole
Great for a Sunday Brunch!! Simply prepare the night before and bake in the morning. Top with a dollop of whipped cream or drizzle with warm maple syrup or BOTH!! Also serve with a side of bacon or sausage, and a plate of fresh seasonal fruit…Enjoy!

  1. Slice French bread into 1-inch slices. Arrange slices in a generously buttered 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish in 2 rows, overlapping the slices.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the eggs, half & half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt and beat with an electric mixer or whisk until blended but not too bubbly. Pour mixture over the bread slices, making sure all are covered evenly with the milk-egg mixture. Spoon some of the mixture in between the slices. Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
  3. The next day, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare praline topping. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and blend well. Spread evenly over French toast casserole and bake for 40 minutes, or until puffed and lightly golden. Serve right from the baking dish.
