5 hour Stew
This is my Momma's famous stew I had growing up and it couldn't be easier to make, Enjoy!
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. beef stew meat
- 2 sm. yellow onions chopped
- 5-7 potatoes diced
- 1 slice white bread cubed
- 1 c. water
- 1 T. soy sauce
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 6 carrots peeled & diced
- 2 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 1 T. granulated sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees. In a large roasting pan with lid, combine all ingredients and cover.
- Bake for 5 hours. Spoon into bowls and serve with crusty French bread for dipping.
