  • 12 lollipop sticks
  • 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate or candy melts
  • 1 tsp. coconut oil
  • assorted sprinkles
  • colander

Can you use frozen Brussels that have been thawed?

Hi Sheila, I wouldn’t, you’ll have a tough time getting the chocolate to stick. Hope this helps?

Would parcooking or blanch/shocking the Brussels sprouts be okay?

Hi Cocoa Chip, this is meant to be an April Fool’s joke. I’m afraid if there is any moisture the chocolate will not stick, so I would not recommend cooking or blanching them.

I quickly blanched the brussel sprouts before reading the ingredients. Would you suggest dipping them in corn meal or flour before dipping them in chocolate so they will stick better?

Oh no, you don’t want to end up with a sticky mess. I’m thinking you should dry them off REALLY well, then dip them in chocolate. Beware, any moisture will seize the chocolate. Good Luck!
