In a saucepan over medium heat, bring cream and salt to a simmer, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add chocolate, cover, let stand 3 minutes.
Whisk the mixture until melted and smooth. Stir in corn syrup until combined. Transfer the mixture to a fondue serving pot, set over a low flame to keep warm.
Serve with a variety of dippers: Cubed pound cake or angel food cake, cookies, pretzels, kettle potato chips, whole strawberries or raspberries, chunks of banana or pineapple or all of the above! Spear your choice of dippers with a fondue fork, dip into chocolate, and devour!!
Cook’s Note: Use a good quality chocolate; semi-sweet, bittersweet or milk chocolate, depending on your taste.
