Hi, is it OK if i add the Ginger Ale a day ahead?
Thanks!
Hi Lorena, Don’t do it, your punch will be flat and have no bubbles, and that’s no fun. Add the Ginger Ale just before serving…Enjoy! 🙂
Do you have to add in that much water and sugar? I feel like the lemonade and ginger ale will make it sugary enough. Isn’t the cool-aid just there for coloring? Whats a good way to make this so its less sugary but still tastes good?
Hi Amanda, The reason the recipe calls for 2 cups sugar is to sweeten the 2 packages of Kool-aid, but you could start with 1 cup and add more or less to your liking. Hope this helps. ~ Dusty
Not a Ginger-Ale fan, do you think Sprite would substitute?
Hi Rita, I think Sprite or 7UP would be fine, but I would definitely adjust the sugar, maybe cut it in 1/2 to start with, then add more if needed. Hope this helps? ~Dusty
Love how you gave ideas for different occasions! !
Have you tried adding alcohol? How much would you need and what kind would be best?
Hi Melissa, I have not tried it with alcohol, but I would think Vodka or Everclear? Google search “Green Eyed Monster Punch” I think it’s very similar to this punch, but with alcohol. Hope this helps? ~ Dusty
I can’t find frozen lemonade concentrate. What is a good subsitutue? Would frozen pineapple juice concentrate work?
Hi Jen, Pineapple might be too sweet. I’m thinking frozen limeade might be a better choice. Let me know how it turns out! ~ Dusty
Hello! I’m in a pinch! No one has lemon lime koolaid. I bought minutemaid limeade. Can I use that with the 2 quarts of water? Says it makes 2 quarts. It will not be too sweet? Shouldnibuse half the concentrate with 2 quarts of water?
Hi Carlamarie, I suppose you could substitute Minute Maid Limeade for the (2 quarts water, 2 pkg. lemon-lime kool-aid, and sugar) but you’ll need to make enough Minute Maid Limeade to equal 2 quarts (follow the can instructions) and add green food coloring, since you won’t be using the kool-aid (that what gives it the green color). Taste as you add the remaining ingredients to make sure it’s to your liking. Hope this helps.
Hello! I was wondering if you had any ideas on how to make it glow? like maybe tonic water & a black light? I just wasn’t sure if something like that would work..
Hi Cynthia, I’ve heard tonic water and a black light work, although I have never tried it, so I can’t say for sure. Let me know what you come up with.
How did you get it green? There’s no Kool aid here 🙁
Hi Jojo, I used unsweetened lemon lime Kool-Aid! ~Dusty
